Okanogan –WenatcheeNational Forest fire specialists prepare to burn prescribed fires each spring, usually starting in March and continuing through April. And this year is no different.
Forest Service Public Information Officer, Elka Missal says crews are waiting for the perfect weather window so they can get to the burn areas and evaluate fuel conditions.

KOZI works closely with the Okanogan – Wenatchee national Forest and will keep you informed when those prescribed burns are scheduled.
