In an abrupt turn of events, the Recycle containers located in Manson, were faced with seeking a new home, and then found one, all in the same day.
The east side of the Chelan Fruit building in Manson has been the location for the recycling containers for 21 years, up until now.
Scott Beaton, Director of the Recycling Program for the City of Chelan, says he received word this week from Chelan Fruit that those containers would need to go.
The City of Chelan’s Recycling Program will relocate those containers to the back of the ChelanFruitBuilding, and will continue to accept cardboard, mixed paper, glass bottles and jars, aluminum and tin cans and plastic bottles.
