The Bridgeport School Board met Monday evening, and spent some time discussing their affiliation with The Network for Excellence in Washington Schools, often referred to as NEWS.

 

NEWS is a coalition of nearly 200 school districts, education associations and PTA’s who believe Washington kids deserve first class education, and collectively contribute financially to any legal fees associated with the fight to require state funding.

 

Bridgeport Superintendent, Scott Sattler says NEWS was organized after the Education Reform Act of 1993 was established and then came into question.

 

And again, that meeting will be held at 7 PM on Tuesday, March 26th at the BridgeportHigh School.
