The OkanoganCounty electric Cooperative Board of Directors thinks they have finally settled on a rate structure and will host a meeting next week to present the plan to members.
The electric co-op has been working to tweak current rates due to a combination of member concerns over the existing billing system and an increase in the cost of wholesale power.
The board initially narrowed possible rate structure scenarios down to 4 before hosting a public meeting last month, and according to David Gottula (GUT-TOO-LA), General Manager for Okanogan County Electric Cooperative, has now modified an option they feel comfortable with, that will change how members are classified.
The upcoming meeting, set for Tuesday, March 20th, will offer members one more opportunity to voice their thoughts.
Again, that meeting will be held at 6PM on Tuesday, March 20th at the Winthrop Barn.
