Manson Fire District 5 and Lake Chelan Valley EMS were among three organizations honored last week at the 3rd Annual Red Cross Hometown Heroes Celebration at the WenatcheeConvention Center.

 

Each year Hometown Heroes honors those who embody the value of American Red Cross with volunteering spirit, tenacity in the face of a crisis and the willingness to go above and beyond.

 

Apple Valley Red Cross Director, Marriah Thornock, says  Manson Fire and Emergency Medical Teams were selected for a specific incident that showcased what volunteer groups are  capable of.

 

The Apple Valley Red Cross Chapter serving Chelan, Douglas, Grant and OkanoganCounties accepts applications throughout the year, and are already looking towards the 2013 awards.
