The Brewster Food Bank will open in its new location, at 301 South Fourth Street on Thursday @ 9 AM. A special service of "blessing and dedication" will take place at the same location at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, March 15.

Catholic Charities has taken over the coordination of the Brewster Food Bank from the congregation of St. James Episcopal Church.  Hours at the new location will remain the same, from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. every Thursday.

A special service of "blessing and dedication" will take place at the same location at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, March 15. Local clergy as well as visiting clergy from the Catholic Diocese of Spokane and food bank volunteers will participate in the ceremony.  Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend, and to tour the facility.

Volunteers will continue to operate the food bank with funding provided by Northwest Harvest, and government agencies, including the United States Department of Agriculture and the Federal Emergency Management Agency.  Other sources of food and funding are local businesses and private donors.

Food bank volunteers encourage anyone in need to visit the food bank and accept food. There is no income or residential criterion.
