Tuesday marked a special election, offering voters in school districts across the region the opportunity to vote for maintenance and operation levies.

 

With the need of just over 50 percent, a simple majority, most districts in our area are giving a sigh of relief, though county auditors will count additional ballots either tomorrow or Monday.

 

Our local schools, Brewster, Bridgeport, Entiat, Mansfield, Orondo, Pateros and Waterville are all passing near or above 60%- and the remaining ballots are not expected to change those outcomes.
