Bridgeport Hires Billing Firm For EMS 2/15/2012
The Bridgeport City Council approved at contract with EMS Billing Services Inc., out of OmahaNebraska, during their meeting last week, taking the headache of billing and collecting out of the hands of the City Clerk.
 
EMS Billing Services serves more than 250 volunteer and municipal ambulance services in 13 states and boasts increased revenue to nearly 97% of their clients.
 
Bridgeport Mayor, Marylyn Lynn says hiring an outside firm made sense with the amount of training necessary to keep up with ambulance codes as well as a high risk of liability.
 
The Bridgeport City Council will meet again at 7 PM on Wednesday, February 22nd.
