Listener Shares K Factor Story 2/14/2012
Hello! I'm Angela Hauff. I work at A Matter of Taste in Leavenworth. I have a class mate who is in the US Army stationed over in Afghanistan and while chatting I asked about sending a care package to him and the other troops in his squadron. There was a pause and he stated “what we really need is some warmer clothes for the Afgany men we are working with. Its cold here and they have nothing warm to wear.”

I asked what was needed and he said it was simple. Long Johns, long sleeved shirts, socks - just something warmer for these men. No short sleeved t-shirts but long sleeved t shirts were fine.

He also made sure to tell me the items do not need to be new. Only clean. I listen to KOHO every day. I heard of the 25 in 365 and thought what great thing. Not only am I helping our troops but helping someone in need as well. I will be mailing out the first package the end of February.

Thank you,
Angela Hauff
