The Chelan City Council awarded the bid for Phase 1 of construction of the Don Morse Shoreline Restoration Project as well as the restroom remodel during their meeting last week, promising an upcoming facelift for the City owned park.

 

City Administrator, Jim Reinbold, says the beach restoration project was awarded to RCI Construction, of Sumas, Washington and set a budget of about $3.2 million.

 

In other business, the council renewed their SNAP agreement with Chelan CountyPUD that allows electricity generated from solar panels on the MasonicLodgeBuilding to be credited towards the City’s bill.

 

The Chelan City Council will meet again on Thursday, February 23rd at 6 pm.
