Last week, North Central Regional Library Director Dan Howard commented on efforts to keep pornography off of the district computers.
However a lawsuit filed in 2006 by the American Civil Liberties Union ACLU, seeks to have those filters removed, claiming adults have the right to access all material on the internet, with no questions asked.
Doug Honig Communications Director for the ACLU of Washington, says the lawsuit, is not about pornography alone.
Honig believes that if an adult wants to research pornography, they should have the right to do so in their public library.
North Central Regional Library District is based in Wenatchee, with branches throughout Okanogan, Douglas, Grant, Ferry and ChelanCounties.
