Bridgeport has been chosen as the next site for the Washington Agricultural Family Assistance Program to build.
WAFA is a nonprofit organization started by Governor Lowry in 2003. Since that time, WAFA has helped 42 agricultural families become the proud owners of brand new homes in Eastern Washington.
The organization has secured grant funding to build 12 homes in Bridgeport starting this spring.
Bridgeport Mayor Marylin Lynn says she is excited that Bridgeport has been given the opportunity to be a part of this wonderful program.
Once a family qualifies and is chosen to purchase a WAFA home, they are required to stay in the home for the duration of the contract, at which time the 20% down payment is waived.
