Tomorrow evening will be the first opportunity to apply for the next Habitat Home being built in the ChelanValley. Organizers with the Lake Chelan Habitat for Humanity have scheduled a pair of mandatory meetings this week for project applicants. The first of the two meetings is scheduled for 7 PM tomorrow, Tuesday February 7th at the Manson Grange Hall. If you can’t make tomorrows meeting you will have only one other opportunity to apply and that will be at 7 PM Thursday at the Chelan Fire Hall on Bradley Street.
Project Director, Leroy Hall, says that anyone interested in being matched with a Habitat House is required to attend at least one of the meetings.
You could become the 15th family in the ChelanValley to earn the opportunity to become a first time homeowner through Lake Chelan Habitat for Humanity. Families matched to homes are required to contribute at least 500 hours of labor and make mortgage payments which include all construction and land costs.
Leroy wants everyone to understand that there are no exceptions to the attendance requirement so please plan on attending one of the two meetings. Again the meetings are tomorrow night at the Manson Grange or Thursday at the Chelan Fire Hall. Both meetings are scheduled for 7 PM.
