BrewsterSchool District’s Music Department is celebrating their nearly $70,000 worth of new instruments that were delivered last week.
Brewster Superintendent Eric Dreissen says the instruments were part of a non-monetary grant the district applied for in hopes of boosting the school’s music program.
The Mr. Holland’s Opus Foundation receives more than 1,000 applications each year, making the process very competitive. The focus is on schools with little to no budget for musical instruments as well as music programs that serve the most students for their population.
