Chelan Fire and Rescue held its 2011 Awards Dinner last week, recognizing those members that distinguished themselves throughout the 2011 calendar year.

 

Members were recognized for training hours and performance among other awards.

 

The majority of awards were nominated and voted on by the membership of Chelan Fire and Rescue- marking a great acknowledgement of efforts and success as recognized by his or her peers.

 

Fire Chief Tim Lemon says that a lot of folks accomplished a lot of things over the past year and it was a great opportunity to recognize them.

 

Chief Lemon adds that 2011 was a particularly busy year, with some of the largest fires Chelan has seen in a long time. Without the dedication of the Chelan Fire and Rescue crews, the outcome of those fires and emergencies would have been devastatingly different.
