The Chelan City Council agreed to proceed with the call for bids for the Johnson Avenue Pedestrian Project, with a few changes to the original design.

 

The Pedestrian Project focuses along Johnson Avenue from the new stop light to the Lake Chelan School District Offices.

 

Chelan City Administrator, Jim Reinbold says Johnson Avenue is actually still state highway 150, so the Department of transportation has a significant impact on how the project is being done, adding that the solution is a compromise with them.

 

The City of Chelan Council meets the second and fourth Thursday of each month and will meet again next Thursday, February 9th at 6 pm.
