As Clayton Kimsey prepares for his second round of surgeries, scheduled for today, the Chelan community is rallying support for the 15-year-old high school freshman who suffered severe burns in a campfire accident at his home ten days ago.
Coins For Clayton is open for donations at Bank of America as well as Cashmere Valley Bank. All money donated will go towards Clayton’s medical costs as well as the family’s travel costs.
Clayton is still listed in serious condition at HarborviewMedicalCenter, and although he is gaining strength daily, his body needs more than he is able to feed it, as his sister, Tia Kimsey explains.
Last week, Clayton went through his first round of surgery, which focused on removing his burnt skin, and is scheduled for another surgery today.
We here at KOZI wish Clayton a speedy recovery, and will keep you posted on his progress.
We also want to thank the Kimsey family for keeping KOZI updated as Clayton heals.
