The City of Brewster kicked off the 2012 year by administering the oath of office to a newly appointed board member before continuing on with their business.

 

Brewster Mayor Lee Webster says that among other business, the council was approached by Fire District 15, who is interested in purchasing a fire hall from the city.

 

And, water is still a big topic for the Brewster City Council.

 

Mayor Webster says the costs involved with the Water Comprehensive Plan keep mounting, but adds Brewster has great potential for obtaining grant funds for the projects.

 

The Brewster City Council holds their regular meetings on second Wednesday of each month, making their next meeting February 8th at 6 pm.
