Last week, at their first meeting of the new year, the Bridgeport City Council began the transition of operating with a deputy clerk instead of a city administrator. That means newly appointed mayor, Marilynn Lynn will have a somewhat different role in the organization chart that manages the city. Lynn said the recent retirement of the city administrator opened the door for change.
The details of that meeting have not been worked out yet but once a date, location and time for that workshop are set we’ll share that information with you..
Mayor Lynn says the next council meeting will include a public hearing to gather public input on potentially applying for grant funds to use on a pair of proposed projects in the city.
The public hearing will be part of the next Bridgeport Council Meeting on Wednesday, January 25 at BridgeportCity Hall. The meeting gets underway at 7 PM.
