PUD Considers Water Rate Increase 1/19/2012
Chelan CountyPUD will host three public meetings over the next two months to gather input on a proposed increase to water and sewer rates.

The planned 6 percent increase is in the ChelanCounty PUD budget this year, but commissioners want to give customers a chance to comment before the rate increase is expected to take effect.

Commissioner Dennis Bolz says the increase would boost revenue by 207 thousand for water and 22 thousand for sewer.

Bolz admits that nobody likes rate increases, but the hope is to move services where they aren’t operating at a loss while still providing the best rates possible.

The three meetings will be Monday, February 6th in Wenatchee, Wednesday, February 8th in Leavenworth and Monday, March 5th in Wenatchee
