After newly elected council members Mike Steele and Ben Higgins were administered the oath of office last week, the Chelan City Council got right to work and approved lease agreements with for use of the City’s recently acquired Masonic Temple Building.
Chelan Mayor Bob Goedde says the funds from the leases will help pay the utilities for the building as well as add security until the library moves in.
In other city business, Mayor Goedde says the council received good news when they opened bids for the Waste Water Expansion project and discovered bids that came in about 1 million dollars less than expected.
The Chelan City Council meets twice a month on the second and fourth Thursday. The next meeting is scheduled for 6 PM Thursday, January 26th at City Hall on Johnson Avenue.
The Mayor and other city officials join us right here in the studio every Friday morning just after 8 AM and you are always invited to listen in. You can submit questions for the City by sending an email to AIR@Kozi.com
