Winthrop mayor, Dave Achison has launched an investigation into accusations made by the Town of Twisp, after being notified the Winthrop Marshals Office was longer welcome to assist on calls for law enforcement.

 

According to Achison, he received notification from Twisp’s Mayor, Soo Ing-Moody two weeks ago.

 

For now, Twisp will rely on Okanogan County Sheriff Deputies when additional assistance is necessary.

 

Achison adds that at this time the investigation remains internal and expects it to take a few weeks.
