New Homeless Shelter In Wenatchee 1/2/2012
A proposed new temporary homeless shelter could help get families, women and children off the streets of Wenatchee this winter. Lighthouse Ministries in Wenatchee runs a soup kitchen that director Bob Rogers said has seen a swell of those in need.

Bob says it can be difficult to find a space in the valley’s existing shelters, so Lighthouse intends to build The Gospel House.

The Gospel House will be funded with grants as well as private donations and volunteers.

Bob adds that the building they have their eye on is on South Wenatchee Ave, and it is perfect for their needs.

Lighthouse Ministries received word from the Homebuilders Association that they would be kicking in a bit of help to boost The Gospel House, and KOZI will bring you more details on that tomorrow morning.
