Chelan County PUD SNAP Program is growing.
SNAP stands for Sustainable Natural Alternative Power and is a renewable energy program.
The program now has 46 schools, non profit agencies and individuals who are providing power to the PUD.
Susan Gillen, Conservation Program Administrator for Chelan County PUD says most people know that the PUD is into renewable energy in a big way with their hydro projects, but SNAP focuses on small scale solar and wind power.
Gillen says it is easy to become a provider.
