ChelanCounty PUD wildlife biologists braved the cold last week to survey wildlife along the shoes of Lake Chelan.
Kelly Cordell-Stine, PUD wildlife Biologist, says the protecting wildlife and habitat is an important part of the PUD’s stewardship of the land and waters associated with our dams.
Kelly says that during these surveys, biologists are looking for several types of animals, and often see a few animals they aren’t looking for.
The PUD will continue the winter wildlife surveys along the shores of Lake Chelan through the winter months in order to keep tabs and help the wildlife manage through the cold season.
