The anxiously awaited retrial of Steven Swinford, the Chelan man who admitted shooting his best friend to death at a Manson home last January has been postponed.
The trial which had been scheduled to begin on Tuesday January 3rdbefore Chelan County Superior Court Judge T.W. "Chip" Small has been rescheduled for Tuesday January 17th.
The first four-day trial for second-degree murder ended in a mistrial in October with the jury apparently deadlocked over whether Swinford, now 21, was justified in shooting Paul Raney, 22, seven times in the house Swinford shared with two roommates.
