Washington State University Extension Office in Chelan County is teaming up with 4-H as well as Mission Ridge and StevensPass to provide teens of military families a free day of skiing.
Ray Faini (FY-EENIE), Director of the WSU Chelan County Extension Office, says this is the first year they have put together this program and it is all possible because of a grant.
Teens will be treated to a lift ticket, hot lunch, all equipment and a ride to the mountain and home again.
Faini says they are pleased to be able to do something special for children of those serving our country, and that it just fit nicely for 4-H to focus on those children in their teenage years.
If you are interested in signing up for a free day of skiing, or would like more information, you can call the Extension Office at 509-661-6540, or visit their website at county.wsu.edu/chelan-douglas.
