PUD Looking At The Positive 12/8/2011
Chelan CountyPUD adopted their 2012 budget at Monday’s meeting, and it is looking good.

Commissioner Ann Congdon says it took three public hearings along with some adjusting, tweaking and changing, but the final outcome shows a favorable increase in the projected bottom line.

In fact, the PUD is looking at a positive bottom line of $72 million. Last year the bottom line was $12 million compared to being negative the previous two years.

The 2012 projected budget came in at 219 million, down slightly from the 2011 budget which was 224 million.

Congdon adds that the 2012 budget also includes a 3.1% increase in operations.
