Chelan Fire and Rescue showed the folks at Les Schwab Tires that they are no the only ones in town with “Legendary Service”.

At about 8 o’clock last night Firefighters and Chelan County Sheriff Deputies responded to the report of a commercial fire at Les Schwab Tires on upper Woodin Avenue in Chelan. The first units on the scene discovered a building quickly filling with smoke and jumped into action. Sheriff Deputies quickly broke out a glass door to allow access for firefighters to do their job.

It was soon discovered that an overheating air compressor was the cause of all the commotion and the situation was quickly brought under control. The overheated unit was disconnected and the ventilating and clean up process got underway.

Firefighters were back to the fire station shortly after 9 o’clock awaiting their next opportunity to demonstrate their version of “Legendary Service”.
