The Chelan County Sheriffs Office has released the names of the individuals who died Saturday night in a murder-suicide near the ChelanMunicipalAirport.

 

Police believe 27 year old Jaime Acevedo-Mendoza  shot his 36 year old girlfriend Eloisa Villalobos-Aguilar before turning the gun on himself after the couple reportedly had a verbal argument. Chelan County Sheriff Brian Burnett said he believes alcohol may have played a part in the incident.

 

Burnett reported that Rivercom Emergency Dispatch received a call just before midnight Saturday from a frantic female who said her mother had been shot.

 

The caller said that the suspect was reportedly still inside the bathroom and possibly holding her mother hostage. She told dispatchers that the couple had a history of unreported domestic violence and in the past, the suspect had claimed that if her mother tried to leave, he would kill her.

 

Results from the autopsies are expected today.
