The PaterosSchool District sports program will be dropping down one competition classification to match their student enrollment numbers.
Often referred to as the “classification shuffle”, schools are sorted out by class size to decide which level they will compete in for athletics. Schools may then decide to play in their enrollment classification, or compete one division up, as Pateros has done for the past two years.
Superintendent Louis Davies says they will miss competing against their long-time rivals, but are also looking forward to competing with some area schools that have not been in the same district as Pateros.
