The Lake ChelanSchool District is trying to find the funding to keep their School Resource Officer, Sheriff Deputy Francis.
Chelan Superintendent, Rob Manahan, says the total cost for a resource officer is about 150 thousand dollars annually, however, the school is only required to kick in a third of that.
But, with the recent and upcoming budget cuts, 50 thousand dollars is still a pretty high price tag for the school, and they are weighing their options…
