Chelan Valley Manger mall volunteers are busy once again, preparing for the third annual event taking place Saturday, December 10th at North Shore Bible Church in Manson.
The Manger Mall was created for families that need help providing a gift for their children for Christmas. For many this will be the only present they will find under the tree.
Alyson Powers is the driving force behind the Manger Mall. In 2009 the manger Mall provided 500 Christmas gifts and over 600 in 2010. This year Alyson’s goal is 750 gifts.
Norm Manly has been supporting the event for the past two years, but this year a little more help was needed and he stepped in to lend a hand.

The word is getting out and donations are pouring in. The Chelan Rotary Club donated $500 for the event, and the Manson Kiwanis donated another $300. Many community members have donated gifts and cash as well as time.
Parents that need assistance this Christmas are required to sign up and they will receive an appointment to shop at the mall. Once they have made their purchases they move to the wrapping site. Alyson is looking for volunteers to assist her on December 10th starting at 7:30 am.
If you would like to take part in this wonderful ministry you can purchase gifts (valued at $10-$20) and drop them off at NorthShoreBibleChurch during business hours. For monetary donations, please make your check payable to NSBC and specify the Manger Mall on the memo line.
You can contact Alyson Powers at firstname.lastname@example.org or Norm Manly at 293-0225 for more information. The number for NorthshoreBibleChurch is 687-3636.
