The Methow Valley School District is on track to exchange students with a school in Beijing China as early as next school year.
Superintendent Mark Wenzel recently returned from a Chinese Government sponsored tour of schools in China and is looking forward to jumping on board an exchange program.
Wenzel says Chinese has been offered as a foreign language in the district for the past two years, and adds that a partnership with a school in China will help set students up for success…

Wenzel isn’t wasting any time implementing this program and is hoping to send students to China in September of next year.

As part of this exchange, the Methow Valley School District would also be hosting students from China.
Wenzel sees this as a win- win for students in his school as well as for the exchange students this program will bring to the Methow Valley.
