Pateros City Council became the first in our region to formally adopt a 2012 operating budget at their council meeting Monday.
Pateros Mayor, Gail Howe said the 1 million dollar budget does include a 1% Ad Valorum property tax increase as allowed by state law.
And just two weeks after appointing Catherine Perry to a vacant seat on the council, they have another open position. Council member Brent Sillito submitted his resignation at Monday’s meeting due to a conflict with work hours.
Mayor Gail Howe says they are now accepting applications for that seat noting that the candidate must be 18 years or older, live within the city limits and be a registered voter.
