Tomorrow marks the first day that studded tires are legal for the state of Washington, symbolizing to many that winter driving is on the way.

As you pack away your summer shorts and replace them with your winter coats and scarves, Washington State Department of Transportation is urging you to prepare your vehicle for the season as well.

Fiman adds that it is a good idea to program 530 AM and 1610 AM on your radio before you start your winter drive and also encourages everyone to print the winter driving guide available at their website www.wsdot.wa.gov.
