The second degree murder trial for Chelan High School graduate, Steven Swinford, is scheduled to begin next Monday in Chelan County Superior Court.
Swinford is accused of fatally shooting Paul Raney on January 28 in a home in Manson following an argument over an iPod electronic device.
Swinford has been held in the Chelan County Regional Justice Center since being arrested shortly after the shooting.
Chelan County Deputy Prosecutor, Doug Shae, says the first day of the trial will likely consist of jury selection and anticipates trial will last about a week with closing arguments to be made by Friday.
The trial was moved to October 24th after Swinford’s public defender, Jeremy Ford, requested more time to review evidence in the case.
