RiverCom 10/17/2011
Last week KOZI reported on upcoming changes affecting dispatch centers on a national level, as the federal government attempts to update technology to accept texts and video.

We visit again with Millie Tirapelle (Ter-a-pelly), Director of RiverCom 911, regarding the possible changes to our local dispatch center as the Federal Communications Commission looks at making a number of dispatch centers into HUBS for their regions."CLICK HERE" for Audio

Tirapelle adds that it could mean more funding to our area if RiverCom is chosen as the HUB for our area.

The change is not likely to happen soon, Tirapelle says. It is something that we might see in the next 2 to 3 years.
