Texting Scam 10/11/2011
The Washington State Attorney Generals Office is seeing a spike in text message-based scams over the past few weeks. The scam is set up to look like your bank is having problems with your account, and asks for information that will give the scammers access to your money.

Doug Walsh, Chief of Consumer Protection with the Attorney General’s Office shares with us what the scam entails and reminds us not to respond to bank requests through texts."CLICK HERE" for Audio

Walsh also says that you need to be proactive if you believe you are a victim of one of these scams, and tells us what steps we should take.
