Chelan Douglas Health District’s outreach clinics start today in Mansfield and in Bridgeport, offering flu shots. These stops are the first of nine flu shot clinics to communities that don’t already have the vaccine available.

Small says flu shots are no longer available at the East Wenatchee Clinic because of budget cuts and a focus to provide immunizations in areas that would otherwise not have them nearby.

The next area outreach clinic will be next week in Orondo and also in Entiat.

Small also reminds everyone as we enter into flu season, to wash your hands often, cover your cough and stay home when you are ill.
