Bridgeport Water District is one of four water districts looking at consolidation due to failing equipment and poor water quality. The issue began at least three years ago when the bar development water system was condemned.

The water districts are moving forward with the consolidation and are holding a public hearing to discuss the possible grants available, the costs and what consolidating will do.

Douglas County Commissioner Steve Jenkins tells us about the meeting and why it is important for folks to go to that meeting.
