Grover Collins Sr. of Chelan, a giant in the agricultural industry, passed away yesterday.

Survivors include his wife, Thelma Collins of Chelan; his son, Reggie Collins and his family of Chelan; and his daughter Carmen Collins and her family , also of Chelan. A second son, Grover Paul Collins, preceded him in death in Dec. 2009.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. Grover’s accomplishments are many and we are sure you will be hearing a lot about his contributions not only to the fruit industry but to our community as we all remember his life.
