Winthrop Council Names Tiffany Langdalen 6/6/2011
The Winthrop Town Council heard an update on the progress of the Spring Creek Bridge – Susie Stephens Trail project at their latest meeting. The topic was one of just a few on a relatively light council agenda. According to City Clerk Treasurer Michelle Gains, work is being done on the footings and the project is slightly ahead of schedule.

The bridge is intended to help with pedestrian and bicycle traffic in the Winthrop area, and the goal is to have it completed by the end of October.

Chamber Event Director Erin Goodman gave an update on the Wine Festival to be held on Saturday, June 11th and asked anyone interested in helping with the festival or the antique auto rally to please contact her.

The council also approved a request by the “River Run Inn”, to use Heckendorn Park on a trial basis to pick up tube riders after they come down the river from the Inn. And Tiffany Langdalen was named as the town’s Mayor Pro-Tem.
