SNOW WILL GENERALLY BE A MOUNTAIN OCCURRENCE EXCEPT FOR LOCATIONS WEST OF A LINE FROM REPUBLIC TO WENATCHEE.

Lost Hiker spotted 6/2/2011
Chelan County Sheriff’s search and Rescue personnel launched a ground and search this morning looking for a 21 year old male hiker overdue into Holden Village from the Lake Wenatchee area.

Ezra Thompson of Minnesota was spotted by CCSO Helicopter crews this morning. He is stuck on a ledge at the 6,700 foot elevation in the Spider Gap area. Rescuers say they cannot reach Thompson with a helicopter hoist and are a planning a roped assent to his location. He appears unhurt at this time.

This is the second search and rescue mission involving CCSO personnel in the last month. On May 17th A Washington State Patrol trooper missing for three days in the same general area was found unharmed by Snohomish County Search and Rescue.
