Lightning Strike Causes Valley-Wide Outage 5/30/2011
A lightning strike near Chelan Falls caused a Valley-wide power outage that lasted about an hour and a half yesterday. Chelan PUD spokesperson Christy Shearer says the strike at about 2:15 yesterday took the Chelan Falls Substation off line. Shearer says the best way to keep in touch during a power outage is to check their Twitter messages at twitter.com/ccpud.
