The Wenatchee Wild scored a 4-2 win over the Alaska Avalanche last Friday night at Palmer Ice Arena to sweep the best-of-5 postseason series.
The Avalanche took an early 1-0 lead but the Wild dominated the second and third periods to earn a series-clinching win over the Avs.
Next the Wild will face the Fairbanks Ice Dogs in the NAHL West Division Championship Series. Fairbanks secured a sweep of Kenai River Friday with a 7-2 win over the Brown Bears.
The series kicks off Friday night in Fairbanks, Alaska. As the Regular Season Division Champions, the Ice Dogs will host the first 3 games of the 5 games series. The Wild neeed to win at least one game to bring the series back to their home ice, Town toyota Center.
