Prescribed burning is scheduled in the southern portion of the Methow Valley, in the McFarland and Squaw Creek Drainages later this month.
As spring weather continues to warm and dry the slopes and retreating snow allows road access to project areas, work will likely continue in the Twisp River drainage and in the South Summit area.
Plans for this spring also include treating forested lands in the Eightmile Drainage, up the Chewuch River and two units near Mazama.
When driving in these areas beware of fallen trees and rocks that may
be in the roadway.
