New Traffic Signal Debuts 3/29/2011
With the slowly improving weather, road work is in full swing with the Rocky Point Slope Stabilization and Bradley Street Water projects underway. Finally, one long awaited improvement is nearing its completion. After years of planning and months of work, Dan Baker of Chelan Public Works says the traffic signal at the corner of Columbia Street and Johnson Avenue is ready to be fired up, after a little street striping, perhaps by Wedensday. Once the light is operational, it can be adjusted remotely to deal with changing traffic patterns at the busy intersection.

Until the signal is activated, the intersection remains a four-way stop.
