Long time Chelan business and civic leader Bill Harrison passed away last Thursday afternoon while hiking with his wife Tammy and friends in Arizona.
Bill was very active in the Chelan Business Association, The Chamber of Commerce and many other community activities. Bill owned and operated North Cascades Heating and Air Conditioning in Chelan before moving the business to Entiat several years.
Bill and Tammie organized the very first "Street Fair" in Chelan, making them the true "King and Queen of Chelan Street Fair". The Harrison's were instrumental in bringing “Santa” to town, making sure he had a proper chimney for his “Grand Arrival”. Tammie owned and operated the “Antique Goose” on Woodin Avenue for many years, a favorite shopping spot for visitors and residents alike.
Bill's many contributions to the Chelan Valley will not be forgotten.
The family is planning a memorial service in Eastern Washington for a day and time not yet determined.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Tammie, Tiffany, Derek, the entire family and all of his many friends.
We urge you to "Tip a Purple Jesus" in Bill's memory…..
