Chelan Arrests Down 3/24/2011
The County Sheriffs Office reports the number or arrests county wide were down significantly in 2010 in comparison to 2010. Sergeant Rob Huddleston says he doesn't really have an answer for why that is... "CLICK HERE" for Audio

According to Huddleston, shrinking budgets are also weighing in on the arrest numbers and prosecutors ask deputies to write citations for certain infractions rather than make arrests.

Huddleston assures the public that safety is still the number one priority.
<P>

Looking ahead, he sees a challenging visitor season coming up.
Despite tight budgets, Sergeant Huddleston says the Marine Patrol will have the same number of full-time deputies on hand this year.
